i last went on a bus about 2 years ago.

Aeroplane & shuttle bus to Handforth 3 weeks ago, otherwise only use it to pick car up from garage in Hollinwood!! Two hours, 3 trains and ?11 lighter to do what's half an hour & 25miles in the car!!  8O MMmmmm and people wonder why we drive  :roll: And I'm guaranteed a seat and choice of music  

Most days on a bus.  Used the bus yesterday and will be using it again today.

Outside london more people have prob been on an aeroplane than a bus or def more than a train......

Got train / bus to Edgbaston last summer to see England V South Africa in the cricket.

Will do the same this year for The Ashes. Other than that - never.

Sadly    I have to at the moment but try to avoid rip off buses by walking to train station and letting the train take the strain

Used the train last year to pick the Mk1 up from Pipewrx where it had its new stainless manifold fitted that turned out to be a nightmare when the studs broke off in the head so off that had to come and many many ?? later  :cry:

mind you the trip on the train was good value and fast the strange bit was the mechanic picking me up at the station in my own car :?

sadly i either have to use public transport or therover i have been given as some theiving little twocers broke in to my cabriolet and cut the roof and she doesnt deserve to be driven with a big hole in the roof so last week was the last time i used public transport

…we decided to go for a day out….



…barely out of town and someone drove into the back of the bus…

…got another bus back into town…..
…decided to go the other way out of town….


…bus lost 1st and 2nd gears up Dover Hill….

..eventually got to Dover…

…on the way back a Neanderthal was driving…foot stamped hard on floor for go or stop……and the partition between the back seat and the engine must have been missing - the heat and noise was terrible…..

…next day was a trip (by car) to a railway conservation society….

..the train we got on broke down……

It was cheaper to fly last year from Exeter to Leeds than it was to take the train ! So thats what we did .  

Shame as i would have liked to used the train .

used to fly down to pool on a regular basis as it was quicker and cheaper than the train.

(and it makes you feel special taking a plane :mrgreen: )
