What's your favourite summer tune of all time?

How about adding a 'Summer MK1 cruising' CD to the merchandise!

Best driving 'choon' by the way - Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner ( ). Proper a-road attack music that is!

Was that the tune on that Vietnam film, Apocalypse Now, when they flew in on helicopters, whilst playing that tune and shooting the sh** out of everything, just as Americans do best.

What about Heatseeker by ACDC.  It tends to make you drive a little bit faster

First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!

That was my first thought, but copyright buggers everything up! However, someone suggested we compile a list and then people can pay to download the compilation themselves!
Sounds like a plan!

there have been to many summers to remember any one specific summer tune…

If i had any tapes to put in the phillips in my cab i would be listening to:

Love Shack; B-52's
I like driving in my car; Madness
One Step Beyond; Madness
Bohemian Rhapsody; Queen
You Could be mine; Guns 'n' Roses
Motorcycle Emptiness; Manic Street Preachers
Firestarter; Prodigy
Just about anything by Van Halen, ZZ Top, The Beach Boys, Pop Will Eat Itself or Carter USM.

And a couple that never fail to make people stop and stare in the summer:

Duelling Banjo's from the film Deliverance, or Let it Snow (think it was a Sinatra version)… we played these over a PA system at the Classic Le Mans 24Hr in July '04 (about 3 in the morning). We were the most popular group on the campsite after that…

No need… got all the PWEI i need on CD from (dare i say it) ebay… and my original 12" vinyls still reside with a mate after i stupidly sold them to him for next to nothing…

Must get the 10 disk sorted out in the Mk1… looks like it has still got the original stereo in it (a phillips)… like everything else on the car, standard and original (that's why i bought it!!!)
