Strange and clever art

I got introduce to Salvador Dali's work a few years ago and will be purchasing some of his posters when funds permit.  He played with art and really made it interesting as I'll show in a few pics here.  Do you have any art/artists that make clever and strange art that I haven't seen?  This really interests me:-





Look at the one on the left it's a person with their reflection in the river but their alternate image is a hand holding a flowering egg  8O … nuts but I love how you can mirror two different things…



This is my favourite piece… birds in a nest which are actually fruit in a bowl… look at the cliff etc all the way down the page… it's a dog!!  

What art is out there similar to this strange but interesting?  I know this makes me sound lame but love these pics… think he was slowly going mental to be able to do these!!

how do spud those pictures are crazy, the only artist i know is my old mate zach freshwater you could find him on face book , does some good strange art , lives in australia now and got his first gallery show the end of the month . check him out , see what you think…….. not as i know anything about art or come to think of it anything :mrgreen:  . wots up with golf ? didnt see you at the last mk meet?

I had to study Dali for art at school. Really interesting at the time but Ive forgotten everything now I had to write essays pages and pages long about those ones you posted up. Wouldnt want to do that again mind

Hiya bud I'll check him out.  The golf has load rattling/knocking noises coming from either the engine bay or middle of the car.  Been ill then so busy at work just aint had a chance to look at it.  Hopefully it's just exhaust hangers or something cheap.  I now know the car is getting worse so I'll either fix it or have to give it to a mechanic… either way I'm at the next meet in the mk1 or the missus' motor…. hate missing them as their a right laugh  :mrgreen:

I know what you mean mate.  If you want real art you need that black and white pic of that guy holding the baby…. or those dogs playing poker  :mrgreen: … until I buy those though I'm sticking with these.

i love pavement art

...pavement art, theres two installations at the fashionable quarter in MK at the moment.

Maybe slightly off topic but I do think this is very clever/skillfill and is art..   :dontknow:


Amazed me when a mate showed me, wouldn't have you studying it for ages, but I think the process is brilliant

i know nothing about art…

in fact, i couldnt tell you anything about ANY artist…

but looked through this post and now i wanna learn more…

i sound really uneducated but wow! gonna pull google up later and find some art

any name suggestions to get me started??

I'm a big H.R Giger fan, most of my tattoos are of his work.

Check out his Erotomechanics, I won't post any of it up tho.  :wink:

The only thing I know about Salvador Dali is that he painted the design for the chuppa-chupps lollipop wrapper.
