That's terrible news mate, I hope you get it back.
On a positive note and to help others. I assume you had the keys somewhere reasonably accessible or were really unlucky.
Note to anyone with a nickabke car!
PUT THE KEYS WHERE THE SODS WONT FIND THEM.
Take them upstairs and keep them in a draw, keep the spare set locked away in a safe or very well hidden.
This type of crime is so common these days because people leave keys in the hallway on a hook or on a radiator cover by the letterbox or a handbag over the end of the banister facing the front door.
The number of times I've warned my other half!!! Please look after you stuff!
Rant over.

I'm the complete opposite. It there willing to break in there willing to come into my bedroom and wake me up looking for them. I had my two toddlers in my bed and the last thing I want Is somebody in a balaclava waking me up asking for them. I'll always leave keys where they can find them

Me too - leave them at the top of the stairs so that if the alarm doesn't scare them off they'll find what they're looking for before troubling me or the family for them

The car will be long gone now, I imagine. An expensive car like that, etc. What have the police said? Have you contacted the insurance company and are you still okay to claim, with the keys missing/stolen now too?

Wow, I hope they're not reading this forum.

Thieves always go for the soft touch guys so if you leave it on display they'll just thank you and take it.
I've got kids so I lock up, alarm and garage, I have weapons and a temper too.

Its not worth it Tian mate, not worth putting me and the kids thru that fear. Its insured, let them take it
Paul your probably right, might have had a 24 hour time frame to find it on a back street waiting for a tracker to find it but not holding out any joy.
My only advice is if you love it, track it…..i found out the hard way

I'm not so sure, feel like I've been led on several wild goose chases.

I'm sorry to hear that mate. I assume it's the Police who spotted it?
Also I'd be taking a couple of days off work and cruising the area looking for it myself.

holding out my hopes for you mate "when you say waiting for a tracker to find it" you mean a person yeah, not that the car was fitted with a tracker?
hope that the reports of spoting it are true, and whatever way you get it sorted

No I think it would have been parked up in case a tracker was on it. They've had it too long now tho, I don't want it back
