Paid a large cash deposit direct to the guy to secure the car untill I could collect.
The night prior to collection I got a text saying the keys had been lost. Bit of an annoyance as I had already insured it and did all the checks etc….
a week passes and no contact and no key so I rang the guy and says the deal is off and I need my money back.
And now that brings us to now, still no contact, lots of money out of pocket and even worse had to put the mk1 up on ebay as I am now that skint.
I am feeling terrible about the whole situation to be honest!

you might be able to proe that the payment was for the car, as you can like the advert and the transfer into his bank and the fact the car hasn't been sign over into your name.
think you could get the police involved see what they have to say or seek advise by someone in the know
hope you sort it
