My mams Clio is ace,

try not to be Frenchist just because your'e all into your VAG grouped cars.

Jeremy Clarkson likes the renault clio, if he likes it then its good enough for me.

Mum and Step Mum both had 306's nothing wrong with them at all.

Clio williams is french whats wrong with that?

Renault 5 GT is french whats wrong with that?

OK they're cheap and tacky on the inside, and in some cases on the outside but I bet theres many french car owners who love their car to bits? My mums one of em.

Anyway whatever, Give me stick for lookin at French cars, bit narrow minded in my oppinion    :dontknow:

I think they're good enough cars but no character and not well built either. Friend had one and had all sorts of trouble with it. Front wings are plastic!

I'd not go near one but I know they're below Corsas in insurance group so if you're trying to save on insurance?…

Not being rude but what reaction would you expect? its like me going on the Rolls Royce owners club and asking what they think of escort cabriolet…………

If your likening your tastes to Jeremy clarkson? then why not just get a GT40

Renault…………. :naughty:  soft, ugly,cheap,nasty,fragile…….5 words that basicly sum one up

my mates got a clio 1.2 16v and in the time he's had it almost evrything has gone wrong he had 2 drive it from silverstone to chesterfield last week with it overfuelling resulting in the engine cutting out evrytime he put down the accelerator for more than 3 seconds. My advice stick with german. If you want something modern and reliable go for a polo or mk3 golf or even as your missing it so much another mk1!

Id rather shove wasps up my ars.

watch out for the emergency engine cut off thingy, most clio's have an intermittent fault with them, when my mates wont start, we give it a good shake and then it turns over like a dream

what did you want from poeple on a mk1 owners club there only in to vag
dont get me wrong i like other cars but id never touch french car just cause they are not reliable and there cheap  

dunno, i may be tempted if it were a 1.9 205gti

205 great till the brake pipes over the tank rotted  :wink:

i would take a mint, non ragged, non modded Renault 5 gt.t if i could get one..... but thats about as likely as seeing a non modded rs cossie.
