hello, does anybody know where the best place is to order black and silver pressed number plates from ??? Cheers kris.

Yeah the cops are pretty hot on these non standard plates these days and its just a case of filling in a ticket to them.

You're allowed non standard plates if you're going to/from a show, at other times they have to conform to BS146d.

Black plates look wrong a MK1 anyway. On a 60's Beetle or Splittie Ok.
I think the White S1 at Stanford Hall would look better with pressed reflective white/yellow plates or even better 70's plastic fantastic 3D digits.

The cops were out in force at Dub Freeze this year clamping down on cars with incorrect styled number plates.
I only saw the tickets on the cars once they'd been parked up so can only deduce that they were ticketed on the way to the event.
If you really need to have the black and white or pressed plates, save them until you're inside the gates otherwise it'll be an expensive day out.

i would have loved the 70s plastic plates but i had only owned the car 2 weeks, it came with either the black classics… or the dihatzu car garage plates .. i think i made the better choice
