Power Roofs !

Have just looked in the boot of my new cabbie prperly since i bought it and saw the mechanics for the electric roof there is a bottle there that has a minimum and a maximum level ???? what is this do i need to top it up ???? i have no idea what it is ,

It is the hydraulic reservoir for the power hood. Take the car to a good VW dealer or risk a problem that could be costly. Be careful of the manual overide valve, it snags on luggage in the boot and there should be a fibre panel that protects the mechanism from 'stuff' in the boot.

Invest in a boot net (Hein Gericke sell them to bikers for about ?3) and do not put anything that will impact your hood mechanism in the boot.

The 'pull-hickey' under boot lid is the rear seat release.

thanks for that mate the fluid is just above minimum would you get it ffilled up now ? as there isnt much of a gap between minimum and maximum ?  any idea on the cost ?
