My advice is to not hesitate, these things get booked up to full in advance, I've missed out on a couple earlier in the year for this reason too.

You going Paul? I would be VERY interested! Open pit lane though - might be a bit hectic?

Yep 100% I'll be there. I've booked it tonight. Its only 17 miles from my home but I'll still be trailering to-from, so I can take a bunch of tools and 2 sets of tyres. I think the general plan is they limit total numbers, so its not too hectic.

That's a good price for Oulton, it'd be good if we had a few Golfs going  8) Open pit lane is usually more relaxing than having fixed sessions too. The only real downside is lack of daylight, it'll be dark by 3.00 then  
   Might well be up for it though!

any oulton park specific tips?

depends which track are you running.

if it's being used watch esso (now shell oil) corner it tightens rather nasty.
knickerbrook is not a flat out corner.

and take lots of buttys as the burger van sucks.

Yay! Murphy's Law suggests that the car will be 100% reliable if you take it on a trailer. Cheers for the butties tip, these things are important to know….

oh and best place for photos is by the start finish down to deers leap.
or infront of foggys palace on the outside of the track for cascades.

Outside chance of me having the valver ready but a bit risky for its first outing.

thats 4 and half hours from me lol

think its pushing it tbh the lack of a trailer and having to drive there doesnt help lol

think ill wait till the new year once xmas is done and dusted ect

What time do you finish racing?

There is a possibility we break up for Xmas tomorrow at 1.00pm, could pop up and watch, would take about 40minutes to get there, but would be well dissapointed if you finished at 2.00pm  8O

The track is open until 4pm, although of course I might break the car, or more realistically, pack up a little sooner than that. Be great to see you down….
