hi guys, unfortunately time has come for me to let go of my mk1 and move on.
i would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look at the car and just tell me your general opinions on it, as its never been viewed by anyone who can truely appreciate the mk1.

Hi - more comments on your ad than the car :wink:
With ebay ads you will get few bidders if your text is not clearly laid out and easy to scan and read. One big block of text is too much and people will not read it. Break it into sections and use bullet points.
Get some pics up with the bumper on.
Always try to end the auction on a Sunday evening when you have the most viewers. Half two on a Wednesday afternoon and you will be really limiting your audience - people like to bid right at the end.
Best of luck.
Cheers

When I first saw this, I was attracted to "the original hot hatch" but the 1.1 is plainly not the GTI. So, its a tiny bit misleading. A buyer could use this against you and simply claim "the car was not as described" when he comes to pick it up, if he doesn't like it.
I'd also use pictures with the standard wheels on, they don't really suit the character of the car. Your aspirations for GTI ownership, unless it is actually a GTI, will detract from the sale, not induce buyers!

them wheels look mint on any mk1, it doesnt have to be a gti, the only thing is that the potential buyer may not see the print in the ad and believe they are getting the wheels as well. how do you know he aspires to own a gti?
crazy im a spaz my adverts end up looking like that too, how do i add a new paragraph mate? ops:
cheers,
paul

thanks for the feed back. i get what your saying bout the ad and i did space it out and try to point everything but when the ad went up it seemed that my format was ignored. also in the description i asssumed mk1s were the hot hatch i didnt realise that it only pointed to Gti's.
thanks for the advice tho, much appreciated :-)

You hit the "Return" key - LOL
Seriously though, do you have to write the add in HTML?
If so, you start a paragraph with <p> Write your text here and end the paragraph with </p>
You can then use
<BR>
<BR>
If you want to add more space between the paragraphs.
If it isn't HTML, ignore what I just said!!!
I have never placed an add on Ebay, so I don't know nuffin'!!!
