Now get out of that!
Well nothing special about that I hear you say and you'd be right.
However when I went out for lunch something was different which caught my eye.
Now at this point I should mention that when I first saw it there were no other cars near it, front or back.
But now!

Just look closely, the Porky's front is slightly under the rear bumper of the BMW. At the rear there is between two and three inches, no more than that. I walked over to have a closer look.
I thought well bugger me, if that was my car I'd be going Ape sh-t. So anyhow, off I went for my lunch.
But when I returned some 45 minutes later I nearly fell flat on my face in shock, take a look for yourselves!

Now, there is no trick photography at play here I promise you. No Photoshop, nothing.
The two photos were taken on my Blackberry.
I was lucky in the respect that I happened to stand in almost the same place for the second photo.
Compare the two and you will see the background change. The people disappear and a yellow van appears on the street.
I've been driving 31 years and I've seen a lot but that takes the gold medal. I walked over and looked at the two cars that were left behind.
There was no damage, and it had been raining most of the day. You could see the dry patches under the cars, they had not moved one inch.
So my challenge to our membership is a simple one.
Now beat that if you can!
Mike.

Having looked at the pics it seems that the bmw hasn't moved at all. the audi estate might have pulled forward to let the porshe out but then why wouldn't he back up to the bmw once the porsche was out?
Crazy stuff!

Good point and there's more.
I've now got both photos on my PC and have laid them side by side.
When I zoom in on the pics big time you still see the dry patch under the Audi but that normal if it had rolled forward a foot.
However watch the sign over the roof of the Porsche, the black rubbish bins and the sign post over the rear 1/4 of the Audi.
If you use Office Picture Manager (zoom 100%) and then click between the two photos you'll see everything moves in unison!
The Audi appears to have moved down hill slightly because of the change it angle of the second pic.
But then all the objects move the same distance!
What's the official turning circle of this Porky?
By the way I saw it again today, parked in a different place but the Audi is still sitting there, waiting for it's next victim

Yawn….who cares
I guess you do for clicking on the link, reading up to your post, then clicking the reply button, writing a reply and then clicking send :dontknow:

My guess is, is that they all know each other. I don't know what the surrounding buildings are but they could work together. The Porsche dude/duddette looks to be the Boss of the others and under his/her orders the others must park so close as to a) not let just any randomer park too closely and/or b) doesn't want his/her space stolen by yet another randomer whislt on a jaunt.
I think I'm right.

After all I do live very near the Countries to Eastern Europe and a good number of high class cars do in fact disappear, completely!
Just like Magic :dontknow:
And for most people, it's been a bit of a laugh.

Has anyone else got some strange parking photos they want to share?

Well here's the next one I've come across and this time it involves a Golf Cabrio and an Audi!

I took these while waiting for a bus and didn't have time to get over the road to take some pics from the front.
The Golf can get over the low curb at the front and drive towards the row of bikes you can see in the background.
But there's a row of metal poles 3 1/2 foot high and about 6 feet apart to stop vehicles from parking in front of there.
You can just see one pole to the right of the advertising.
Might have been room to get out by going between the advertising and the poles but when I looked the other day it appeared to be very, very tight.
Now if that had been my Golf I would of had a kissy fit and then thrown Teddy out of the pram!
