Not another year...

Well the GTi failed its MOT Not on a lot, really but more than I can do at the moment (too many projects) and so reluctantly its on Ebay…

Awwww I really feel sorry for you here. If I were you, I'd reconsider the option of selling it without the MoT. Not having an MoT knocks hundereds off the value. Unless you can afford to take the loss, that is. Although there is a bit of a list there, they seem to be small items. A couple days effort, perhaps ?50 invetment, and you could see a ?300 increase on the value.

Why did the fuel filler fail? If it helps, I have an old one that I replaced because you can wiggle it to unlock and get into the fuel tank.

Thanks for the offer - the filler cap is the least of my concerns. We have another two Mk1s here with good filler caps. The big one is the brake pipes - I haven't got the time/patience to sort them or the money to have them done.

Its a shame, but sometimes that's the way it goes. :dontknow:
