never welded and want to learn
hi ive never welded in my life and what to learn does anyone have any good tips ?

hello mate i'm really busy at the moment and not getting on here much, but i did a evening course last year at maidstone collage not too far from you, was every tuesday night 6pm-9pm the teacher was a top dude, i will get further info when i have time if you want

I'd second the evening class recommendation - you get to use proper equipment and get a chance to learn from someone who can point out where you are going wrong.
I did a 10 week, 3 hours per week evening course at Walthamstow college in NE London which I would recommend highly - cost about ?150 2 years ago.
We did gas/oxy, MIG and got to use plasma cutters and spot welders too. Also had free use of workshop facilities there whilst enrolled as a student including a full low bake spray oven and 4 poster hydraulic ramps.
You can learn yourself or from a mate, but a course gives you a good foundation on how to do it right, and then its just practice.
Good luck - you won't regret doing it.
