Neglected cab

In my tiny little village there is a garage where they have the odd cars for sale in front off the garage. I stopped by with my friend the other day to take a quick look through what they had. The usual, corsa's, mk4 golf's etc…

In the back right hand corner, behind all these newish cars there was a convertable white mk1 golf. The poor thing look like it had been left there at least a year. There appeared to be green moss off sort on abit off the roof and it had definatly seen better days.

The price tag on it is ?995 which i am not willing to pay out for a car in that condition at all. At least keep it a little bit presentable if its being sold right  :dontknow:

Im going to go get some pictures tomorow, i wouldn't be able to tell you what year it is or anything as i visited it about 2 weeks ago and i can't remember

How much do cabs normaly go for in average condition? Is it worth me getting my hands dirty on a new project?
