My Car !
Hi All
Just wanted to post a pic of my mint Mk1 - lovingly garaged over winter and soon to be modded with 15" RM's, ARB's, poly bushed all round, TA lowered susp & lower front SB. Hope you like it !
Is there likely to be a mk1 meet this year as I did not have the car to make the Gaydon meet?
Cheers

I would leave it just as it is. It looks great. All you need as Tallpete says is a black grille badge.

Wow minter.
You could leave it standard, but I think some nice wheels always set you apart from the crowd, and you can always change them back. Wheels only though leave the rest as is.

WOW! Looks lovely mate!
I too think that a nice set of rims would really set it off.
A black badge would be better too…

Lovely Mk1 you have there, I would leave it the way it is except I would throw on a black VW badge on the front grill.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I'm very lucky to have found this one - it is a minter and I am chuffed to bits
Did not realise about the badge though - have to say I was not sure about it anyway so an OE black one it is.
As for the changes - only a 35mm drop and I am keeping the original wheels after the RM's go on - sorry to dissapoint the 'original look' crew  It does need the bushes doing and who's going to know about the suspension anyway?
Great car and a hoot to drive - very different to each of the other fast golfs ive owned.
As per my original q'n - is there another Gaydon meet lined up this year?
Cheers

crazyquiff - just a thought, but I travel to the Aston factory fairly regularly as part of my job so if I can help with the Gaydon meet in any way, please let me know.

I would personnaly go with the suspension mods but keep the alloys. I think they look great on a Mk1. Not many mk1's with standard alloys on these days mind, so standard is modified
But it is your choice of course.
