Mouse!!!!
Not happy!
Just emptying out the boot of my mk1 and we discover mouse droppings inside the car. Closer inspection shows we have a mouse somewhere in the garage.
Worse still, said mouse has nibbled through the insulation under the dash, under both front seats, attacked one of the rear seatbelts and the boot liner. Not too obvious, but extremely annoying. I can't figure out how the mouse got into the car either, , I'm guessing through the foot vents….
I've sent the wife to B&Q for some mousetraps, hopefully catch the blighter. Price you pay for living in the countryside I guess.
Cheers,
Drew.

Are you going for the <ahem> humane type traps, ot the ones that actually work  ?
If the latter then forget cheeses - tuna mayonnaise paste in there will lure them in for sure. We had a broken drain cover in our back garden in our last house during the summer and a rat managed to get into the kitchen 8O . Had to go to Homebase and ask if they had any "real" moustraps… they were hidden away at the back of the store on a shelf with the heavy duty stuff.
Set the trap with tuna mayo paste and 10 mins later <snap>, got the sucker….. horrible creatures. Mouse are not as bad, but man they move fast. Trap is the only way to get them for sure, or a cat……

Sounds a bit Mickey Mouse to me, but then again mice do like golf.

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday

argghhhh….. I had mouse in my old garage. They little blighers jewed the washer bottle to get to the water in it, then dropped sh1t all over the carpet under the seats, and peed on the paintwork at the bottom of the front screen. I was fuming - know how you feel Drew !!.
A year later (after I had moved house and killed the blighters) when I went to check the spare tyre, find the little blighters had been usig the tyre well as a food storage area !! And also found out where all the poison had gone to.
Brother works as a "Terminator" and says taht a mouse onloy needs a hole the size of a bic pen lid hole to get in, so that could mean any damn hole in the Mk1.
Catch 'em, and torture the little horrors - their worse than kids

That's just what I need, BORG mice….
I've got this horrible thought that I've got that mouse from that 'mouse hunt' film and all I'll be left with in a few weeks is a pile of rubble and a crumpled bit of metal where my house and my Golf once stood!
Cheers,
Drew.

I've had a cat walking over my hood and I can't get a couple of it's paw prints out

I really want a cat, but the girlfriend isn't buying into it
