just  thought i'd post a few pic of my mk1 as i've mbeen a member for a while but havn't posted any pics yet














i still havnt got rnd to fitting the turbo yet as im still collecting all the bits i need! + need a polo gt ecu and wiring loom if anybody can help me???

thanks yeah it's had a re-spray not the best as it's orange peeley all it needs is a good flat with 2000's and a buff then it will look even better!
as for the bottom trim or side stripes do you mean it needs them??? as i think it does because it looks too plain!
Oh and the wheels will be for sale if anybody wants them?

Are they Mims or Zenders ?
What size are they……7x15 ET28 ??
Any arch rubbing problems ?

yeah thats it mims/amil 1900 or summit like that there 15x7 et 25 with 195/50/15's
as the car is on fk coilovers and only lowered a 1/3 of the way down it doesnt rub unless you have four in the bk but on your own or a passenger it's fine!

yeah, i do like the side trim and stripes. the perfect finishing touch for a gti i think.  :wink:

aarrhhhh bt it's nt a gti though m8ty it's only a 1.3 driver

that is one of the tidyest (sp?) drivers ive seen for a while!  8)

thank you it's jst the front wings which let it dwn bt i've had them rolled sealed and painted and there ready to be fitted! bt it doesmneed a proper faltting and a buff because thats jst the finish straight out the gun!

Can I ask what exhaust manifold that is? 4-2-1?
And I like what you have done with the warm air pipe thingy??

it was on the car when i brought it but it's a ashly 4-2-1 4-branch! and the guy who had it before me did the hot air pipe thing it draws hot air off the manifold and directs it on the carb too stop car icing! dnt know how well it works though

the red grill fooled me, but i should have noticed other things, like the smaller front spoiler etc.  


i personally almost have more respect for mint non-gti's because it isnt the 'famous' golf.

cheers lads i'm hoping to take it tattern park this year if the turbo project is done by then!
as for what in the shed thing it's BINS!!! lol my parents own a pub and have to keep the bin in the carpark so to make it look nic we built a screne for them hahaha

Wow, she's a beauty!!! Your a very lucky boy finding one in that nick for that price!!! Looking forward to this turbo conversion, everyone with a mk1 aspires to be different but very very few mk1's get turbo'd!!! A few jaws will drop when you change gear and theres that hiss of the dump valve!

yeah sure i'm goiung tattern! i live 12miles from tstoke so it's only bout 30mins from me!
i dout the turbo will be on for then but it should be alot nicer when i fit my wings!
n cheers leyroy it will onlybe running 4-8psi but you will defo know i'm there lol l HOPEFULLY she'll have some 13x8's weller steelies on her dropted on her ash as long as it can be optyflexed hahaha
