mk1 GLS

Hello everyone,

I just bought a mk1 GLS 1.3. Has had a front end smash but go the parts to sort it today. It has 54k on the clock and FSH, 3 owners even a 1980 Mk1 price list and original bill of sale. Does anyone have a clue of the value its mint (will be when finnished) blue with brown and beige (yuk) interior. Any clue?

It depends on if a Series 1 or 2 (1980 was the switch year), the originality and the level of restoration. Putting up some pics would help a lot.

A mildly restored Series 2 may fetch around ?1k, but a full nut and bolt restoration of a Series 1 using original parts may fetch ?2k. Series 1s tend to be fetching more money than Series 2, particularly for the non-plastic bumper models.

it is series 1 with the small rear lights, I paid ?250 for it on ebay. Well chuffed with her!!! I will put some pics on and register her on the register. It does have the plastic bumpers with the crome inserts.
