3 years void - 4yrs you have to send your licence back to dvla to have them removed and i think you may have to pay ?17?

points stay on your licence for 4 years but only count for 3 years.
drink drive stay on for ten years
insurance companys ask for 5 years (why I don't know)
if you move address after 4 years and change your driving licence ( which you should do ?1000 fine other wise) it's free. When you renew your licence (if you have the photo style) the point are removed if spent.

the insurance companies don't count 3 points so i wouldn't worry about it.

What ever you get its not the end of the world, just ring the insurance
company and be honest, 9 times out of 10 it makes no difference to
them if you have 3 points etc.. you are not automatically re-calculated
as a higher risk.
Speaking from experience (I received 9 points for doing 103mph in a 60 zone) , I know it was a little fast, but, being honest and regretful pays
off, (I kept my licence). And having said that I havent done it since.
(and I also know what a mobile speed camera looks like now 8O )
