it's over for me!

My one and only crash to date  was a similar situation - I hit the back of a D-reg  Audi 90 (Audi 80 with big bumpers) at about 20mph (wet road, they all stopped suddenly for a right-turning car, and I was distracted) - the Audi's rear panel and rear quarters deformed, all lights smashed, the boot flew open (and wouldn't shut) and the front "ears" of the rear bumper were rubbing on the rear tyres.

The only damage to my Mk1 was a small ding in the leading edge of the bonnet, and a small scratch on the wing by the headlight 8O

His car cost ?1200 to fix (this was in 1994) - mine cost ?2.70 (touch-up stick)
