I'm not but saw a thing on TV called embarrasing bodies or summit. A young kid was depressed about being diagnosed with it. He went training with one of the top rugby teams… only to find out that a key player had it. Kicked him out of his depression and made him realise that it doesn't have to hold you back. These days it's pretty common isn't it?

My mate skip is insulin Dependant and on disposable pens, my mum is on a pump
the difference between the two is impressive. Skip really struggles to keep it low no matter what he tries, yet with a bit fettling setting the pump right mum leads a near completely normal life, except for random parts of her beeping from time to time (depending on where she's strapped the pump…)
In fairness though skip is a really crap diabetic lol
Jon.

been a type 2 for 10 years but find managing it a pain sometimes. Do you attend the clinic at the Hospital and was it them that suggested the pump?
p.s. what meets for watercooled are local to Hereford?

Toooldskool: there's a gloucester meet that I go to some times but I haven't been in a while, where you from? Yeah I go to clinic and have eye checks regularly.
Kavlfc: shame to hear about your wifes friend, but treatments are getting better and better now. I just wish I wasn't so ignorant when I was younger

I'm from Hereford as well but the cab has been in storage for the last 18 months but now fully back on the road. went to the Dubs at the farm show at Ludlow at the weekend but was pretty poor. used to meet up with some lads who have split busses at the Grafton inn but i don't think they go anymore.
Do they have a regular meet at the Air balloon?
cheers
