I have been side-tracked - BMX content
My eldest has out-grown his first bike and is not yet big enough for a full size BMX (I want him to ride a proper bike…).
Having seen 16" wheeled bikes on the internet, I didn't fancy paying £160 - £200 for a childs bike that would be outgrown very quickly!
Enter EBAY!
Found a 16" Mongoose Pit Crew locally, so got bidding and won:

They say a picture speaks a thousand words. Well, this picture kept it's mouth shut!
The bike didn't look too great in the pic, but was worse in real life.
I didn't take any pics as I ripped it to bits immediately!
It needed:
Crank replaced (one on it was off a full size BMX, so too big)
New Bar Grips
New Brake Levers
New Brake Calipers
New Brake Cables
New Tyres
Most parts were bargains off ebay. Tyres were 99p for the pair, locally!
Handlebars/Forks/Seat Post/Seat Mountings/Bearing Cups/New Chrome Crank - All needed re-painting black.
Frame needed rubbing back and a new coat of Blue. Found a Ford colour in Halfords that was absolutely SPOT ON! Got a set of stickers (Not quite original) off ebay too.
After a fair bit of work, this is the end result:

Charlie is pleased with it - I am chuffed to bits with it!
Raining here today, so no real test runs yet. Out down the park tomorrow hopefully.
I just need to get back on ebay and get one for myself now!
I have seen so many old school bikes from the 80's - 90's that were popular when I was young, but they are selling for STUPID money!
We'll have to see what I can find!

Great collection there, g443wtm. I like the Haro Freestylers. The streebeat looks a lot like my old Mongoose Decade!
I had:
A very early Raleigh Burner - Red and Yellow.
A Mongoose Decade in a powder blu colour with white skyways.
More recently, re-living my youth a bit, A Redline RL something or other… Even that seems like it was decades ago!
After re-building the Mongoose for Charlie, I really want another!
