the fan belt only squeals when its raining sooooooooo embaressing
and the drip , that hits me in the face upon takin a corner too fast lol
and my poor seat is just soaked in a morning
living in the yorkshire dales mate aint much better for rain ….

But.. i did get the sqeeling from the fan belt
Got rid of it by 1. Replacing fan belt, 2. replacing Alternator & flywheel 3. adjusting alternator properly.
Cost me ?70 in parts - although if you just adjust it you should be fine.

the squealing is driving me to almost tears esp today .
hold old is your glass and sills ?
mines all the original , now when they all and i mean all glass all sills are replaced and refitted my hood will no longer leak !!
best 300 quid ive ever spent ( i hope )

if the roofs not ripped and you dont need to replace it then just swap those strings over and it should keep your umm wet patch at bay :wink:

During the last storm i sat on the handbrake with a towel in each hand catching the floods!!! (NO WITTY COMMENTS!) I actually thought of putting the roof down and putting up an umbrella!! I probably would have stayed dryer!!!
I have also notice a trickle of water on the rear parcel shelf???
But i love my cabbie and this year so far i have drove topless more than got soaked!!! So the average is good.
Oh and why i am posting…. Has anyone taken up the job of sorting out the Midland region club?????
