Hey all

Hey all, Thought id show you some pictures of my project mark one. I started it 3 months ago , its a second hand shell i bought and decided to reshell my old car in to which is in the pic below . Well this is what it used to look like before i decided to reshell it it was a 1.3 with a pologt gearbox pretty quick

and heres a few pics of it now.

First of all is the rear axle, been painted 3 times now due to inperfections   Its complete with 38mm rear calipers, new brake hoses,seals,brakelines,wheelbearings disks and pads. rear wheels with new tyres too all painted and shiny  8)


Then there is the 4 branch manifold i bought for the GTI cylinder head, got a gti gearbox and lookin for a 1.6 engine to put in complete with an inlet manifold and a set of carbs.




Rear boot floor has been flushed, mainly because it was wrotten and i couldnt be bothered sortin it

And here is the shell in 2 tone primer…Also bought a bran new set of arches for the wee beasty.. coilovers n rubbin strips next.


A nice set of poloGT clocks i found in a scrapper i thought would fit the bill just nicley after a bit of moddin and alot of wirin to get them to fit.  8)


Front passenger side hub all nicley painted with new bearings, trackrod and balljoint. with a set of propper vented and drilled disks this time  


My old mk1 currently , brings a tear to the eye lol


sound system, the subs + amp, the centre console, im movin all the guages up to the dash where i can keep a closer eye on them, and a mini coolbox/hotbox for the back to keep all my pies and stuff

Well i know some of you werent sure about the 2 tone, the engine bay and interior is now sprayed and ive started to put it back together…so what do you think now?  8)

no i didnt just bung the dash int he wirins all in aswell  :-D  8)

Starting to take shape, you colour coding the interior to match?

Nah man interior is goin all black, engine will be slightly colour coded though
