I BOUGHT MY FIRST MK1 GTI CONVERTIBLE ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO , BUT FEW TO A CHANGE IN CIRCUMSTANCES , I,VE GOT TO SELL IT NOW

CAN ANY TELL ME WHAT ITS WORTH ,

I suspect you ment 'NOT bad' … Pricing is always difficult there are always a few cabs for sale. I would go for the price you paid for it, maybe a few pounds extra for the money you have spent to get a quick sale.

Another way is ebay and put a starting bid at your absolute minimum, then any extra bids over that is a bonus and you get a quick sale.

If its only a few months since you bought it, then I suspect you should at least aim to get what you paid for it. Don't bank on getting any extra, if you've spent money on it - that never really works out, over a small time period. Also, its going to look a little bit funny selling a car so soon after you bought it.

its a lousy time to be selling your car mate :? especially a cab :dontknow:

i didnt think with it beening winter and it being so close to xmas is the best time to sell it , but unfortunately its got to go ,

think i,m gonna leave up to offers and get see what people are willing to pay for it , someone hopeful will get close to what the car owes me

Give us a clue mate - MOT?  Tax?  Service history?  any rips in hood?  Colour?  any running faults?  Alloys?  Recent parts fitted?  Cam belt done recently?

It could be worth anywhere between ?50 and ?2k…

right  12months mot , 6 months tax , just had a service , yes the timing belt was done

the roof has a few little rip's , one just on the corner obove the rear window , also on folding patrs , front bumper could do with replacing , and there is a ripple in the n/s wing , where the bumper attachs .

Come January all anyone will want are 4x4's - however in the run up to Xmas nobody wants anything other than Xmas presents - sorry but that is the way it is.

true true , thinking about cashing the tax back in , and finding somewhere to store in until summer , i'll see if there's any interest first though
