ok i sold my williams 2 and now sold my astra turbo to    . so i have plenty to spend on the golf   but am i going stupid or what . im thinking of buying a k plate rs 2000 i got offered . should i buy it or should i blow the lot on the golf and get the pushbike out ?  :?

Yes you are stupid! What could a k reg rs2000 possibly have going for it! Lets get away from the mk1 golf obsession of all of us on here! That aside, an rs2000? Surely you are getting that I need something, anything feeling that clouds all our judgements! Sleep on it, then get something that was built to last and will at some point have classic cult status, not just rot away on your drive! Might I suggest obviously a mk1 golf GTI or late edition cabriolet or maybe even a decent corrado, but not an rs2000!  8O

i have a mk1 gti but it aint finished . and there is no fun in buying a mint 1 cos its always gonna be someone elses work . and no offense but i aint to keen on the cabriolet and i dont wanna spend much money  

a mate got a polo for 200q last week wi mot n everything to tide him over while he spends 3g on his mk1 do the same then do up the polo later like he is gonna do

Bought a petrol r/c car kit form,built it then used it twice and sold it!!
But apparently he had fun building it.
Endless amounts of motorcross bikes that have come and gone when i hear "oh i wont bother again"….Mmm till the next time.Oh not to mention the roadbike in the garage!!

My brothers just as bad with mini-motos,landrovers,turbo cars…….

Boys with there toys! I dont know? Good fun though, i get to use them but dont have to pay  

If you have excess cash, and your Golf doesn't need that much doing to it, you could always spend it on extra tools (you know, convenience ones rather than essential ones, like a car lifter) or improvements to your garage (CCTV? lighting?) or something like that.

If you can't think of anything to spend it on, you could make a donation to the club????

i already have cctv and the lights are gettin done next week . unfortunatly the roof aint high enough for a lift . i booked my bike test today and im gonna get a gsxr 600 so that should get rid of some of it

I got the best of both worlds but be warned ???????? two lots of insurance,tax,mot and bike tyres arnt cheap!!!! 8O

i was payin over a thousand a year to insure 2 cars , hopeing a bike will be a bit cheaper   leathers are a bit steep aint they  8O . i get tyres at trade price which is a bonus  8)

If i had my way i'd have two cars and the bike!
That way the golf wouldnt be a daily driver,but my funds dont go that far.
As for the leathers get the best you can afford.
I tried a few before i bought mine,but there again being a woman i suppose i had to try on at least 3 or 4 before  buying the most expensive!!    
Most men are slim jims so you'll probably be ok with the first lot you try.Dont get the same colour as the bike! bit cheesy is that  :wink:
