Golf Mk1 show
Hi all, looking for some advice please
Really wanted to have my golf ready for this year (promised myself this after missing out last year) but it's not as finished as I would like, chiefly seats are covered till I can get some exact same ones that are decent, and the engine bay is still untouched.
On the plus side, the bodywork and wheels are A1 after respray and refurb.
What sort of condition of cars are at the show, I am presuming they are all absolute minters and I would be better of not going in it this time?

noooooo mate, you have that totally wrong if your talking about the agm, some are mint yes but some are not, its the time of year for us all to get together and have some fun, meet fellow members and just enjoy the day/weekend whatever.
as long as it starts and drives it more than welcome and will fit right in
chuck any seats in and you ain't gotta lift the bonnet so engine bay condition makes no difference …
JUST GET THERE !!!

Take a look at the flyer at the top it outlines whats happening on which day then take your pick from there. The drive out on sat is really good just to see so many mk1's driving, sunday is more of all the cars parked up so you can go round and have a look at them.
It dunt fit

If its a Mk1 and will get you there then that's all you need
yes the show and weekend is about the car but its more about the folks you meet and the great laugh and the Saturday night party isn't to be missed with DJ etc and fancy dress the whole weekend for me is about fun and seeing how many Mk1s we can get in one place altogether regardless of age or condition.
