g60 and other options
Sorry for posting here, but this is going to be another general engine thread - like my last one, and besides that theres no too much traffic in the mod section ops:
Last time I asked about ehat engine to choose. Since 1.8T and the diesels are more complicated to fit in only 3 engines are left - more like 2 really.
Anyway…
I was thinking bout the g60 - and in theory it sound great, 160 bhp -loads od torque.
But as LPG is a very popular fuel here in PL, Im worried that when I buy the engine it can be in miserable condition. What means Ill have to do an overhaul, which could come out very expensive. About 5000 PLN. 1Ł = 6 PLN more or less… Maybe its worth the money.. but..
You can buy an ABF for about 2K PLN. And a KR for 1.5K..
And thats a big difference.
maybe going for the ABF, or KR and then working on that engine, even turbocharging it would be cheaper ?
What would you do ? becouse Im really worried about the expenses.
and another 2 questions
Do the forged pistons and camshafts from the g60 fit into the KR ?
Is it more difficult to swap a ABF ino a mk1 ?
And - how fast are 170+BHP golfs ?
Do you know any 0-60 times and quarter mile ones ?
