Found my Mk1 on Google Earth!

My current house is in a low-res area, but I had a look at my previous abode and saw my Golf parked on the driveway. I think the other car is my old Mk2 in Oak Green, but it might be the Audi (Cactus Green). Quite unusual for the Golf to be outside, I was likely giving it a wash on a sunny day. I reckon the image must date from around 1999. You can make it out dead centre.

found mine on google earth on our drive.
our bit is in high enough res to see it (ls5 3lg) if you're interested (a couple of doors up from the X- silver- r/hand house). but it won't be there for much longer. boo hoo!

it must have been taken a couple of years ago as there have been new houses built over the road since.

Couldn't find my Golf - all low-res round my way . Apart from cities most of the UK seems to be low-res on Google Earth, anyone know if they are planning to update :dontknow:.

Did find this photo were nearly all our mk1s have been at some time….
