Exciting news from 'Newton Commercial'
I've just had a PM from these chaps. They have been doing carpets and trim for classic cars for 25 years and are moving into production replacement carpets for the Mk1 Golf.
They hope to start providing other replacement trims items in time. Further details soon, hopefully we can invite them along to the Rally in august.
Cheers,
Drew.

saw them at gti international, carpets are ok, not as fluffy as the originals but fit well and look neat.
boot mat is as per original texture and comes with a thin cardbord to go over the spare wheel
that was ?30 and the carpets were ?140

Being a MK1 mini fan have seen a lot of their Mini trim. It was good quality stuff and with seat covers, door cards etc catered for too it would be fantastic if they did the same for the Golf too!

I can confirm they are considering door cards, head linings and even seat trim. They anticipate asking for our help in research on the materials. I will keep you posted.
They have specifically asked me not to advertise for the time being, so they can do their homework on the above and get the product right. I'll be watching with interest.
Cheers,
Drew.
