Early shallowtail anyone!!!!!
Found this on e-bay, fantastic colour, Its a bit rotten but would make a fatastic resto project and the history is amazing, only wish i had the funds, space and time to dedicate to her.

but a yes could be a nice early golf after alot of hard work and money, i could go on but i'll leave this open for the expert Dubboy as i'll problay saying somthing wrong :evil:

i had a 78 with placcy bumpers, looked alot nicer than that one but i do like baby blue.

I think '78 was the change over from metal to plastic bumpers :dontknow: Theres a few '78s with plastic bumpers running around.

The vinyl seats, no opening windows, no rear doors and cramped conditions in the rear, would make it positively dreadful!

I like the way he has a headlamp and a manual pictured seperately.
Is he going to throw these in?
It's like he's optimistically suggesting that all it needs is a manual and a new headlight to bring it up to spec!

IMO it looks ok on first inspection, but the more you look at the rust (scuttle, A pillar, wings) and the interior (broken parcel shelf, dodgy rear seats, front seat covers (beads?!?! 8O )) the more it looks like a real turkey.
Also, how come it's registered in 83, yet still a small rear light model? And that front panel can't be standard either…
IMO one to avoid, unless you have a lot of time and money, and you're very proficient with a MIG welder…
