how did you pay, if you used your card through paypal you have some sort of protection as you can do a charge back. And i also think that ebay has some sort of buyer protection even if not used paypal. Might not get all back if you paid alot but at least a bit.

Having looked at goldywaggon's previous posts, he's only posted on 2 threads, one to sell a car (shell) and one to sell a bunch of carbon fibre parts. While he's a "member" of the forum he's not a member of the club. Anyone is free to register and become a forum member, and then post in the classifieds area. So, tips for buying safely are:
- Do a bit of research. If posting on here, have a look at when the buyer registered, what kind of posts they've made in the past (is it all in the classifieds area or have they helped people out in the other sections? etc); and if on eBay, what other items have they bought and sold recently?
- Use a secure form of sending payment, eg Paypal.
- If not possible, then cash on collection is an alternative if its not too far to travel
- If you're unsure the item is genuine and for sale, and also for secondhand items where condition may be important, ask for pics of the item before you commit. A genuine seller would not mind sending pics.
Although there are dangers, many many successful transactions have been done through buyers and sellers meeting on this website, so long as you take precautions you should be able to trade safely!

Hi,
I had similar experience when buying from someone on ebay. The seller had 100% feedback but I never received my item. The item I had bought reappeared for sale and their feedback started going completely negative.
I'd paid through paypal so I started a dispute through them and got all my money back quite quickly, so hopefully you will too.
Good luck
