Sort of blarewitch cross with transformers cross with aliens.

I enjoyed it but the missus said 'it's nothing like Lord of the Rings' - I think she thought Peter Jackson was abit of a one trick pony!   :roll:

Your missus thinks you're a cheeky git!  I thought it started slowly but I like the way it was shot (Rec and Cloverfield style).  Liked the little cute alien and his dad.  Couldnt catch everything they were saying due to South African accents mingled with Irish.  Hmmmm.  Overall i would say 6.5/10.   8)

Wasn't this made on a shoestring budget?  I heard ?18mil, which is nothing for a special effects alient world type kinda film thing.

Couldn't really make out much of his patter like, except "keep your f**kin tentacles off me" hahah

Really good, not what I expected, a recommended watch!

Yes, it was like Blood Diamond vs E.T.   

I kept getting visons of Rab'c'Nesbit cos every time the guy siad fook (i think its his favourate word) he just sounded soooooo scottish.

Just got this on dvd, and after a slow start i thought it was quite a good film in the end. Very different
