I'd agree with that. Almost positive it's from a Polo.

ETOS suggests was originally fitted to the Polo Sport, GT and G40. My mates CL has one fitted, quite a chunky feel.

I had one on my mark 1 when i bought it it is indeed off a polo coupe, the silver bit was red on the sportline with leather. It was ok but when driving my mk1 you couldn't see half the instruments and it annoyed me that much i took it off! Dubpartz off here was selling these on ebay for a mint, he told me about it when i flogged it on ebay. :starwars:

AHH! thats the wheel i got!. I have seen a sports line with the red bit.
The only problem i have with it is, you cant see the speedo very well. I got to duck my head so see anything below 40MPH. Iam 5Ft 10". I like the look of it n e way.

So basically, it's taken two pages to say it's the wheel of a Mk2 Polo Coupe S then? …and that it's the same as the Sportline but with silver instead of red …and that when fitted to a Mk1 Golf, it makes it hard to see the instument panel?
Anyone else want to restate that little lot? - lol

Yes, here we are…onto the 3rd page and I can also confirm it is a wheel which was found on the late 80's Polo Coupe S. I have one up in the loft…wheel, not car.
A leather bound version was indeed used on Sportlines and featured red stitching and red insert on the lower spoke. I've sold a few before.

Why do people think I look like Dermot O'Learey?!?
I get that all the time.
Also - it's not the first time someone has thought Chontz was off the T.V.
