Buying / leasing a car
Hi all,
I'm interested in finally getting a decent car and considering something along the lines of a Chrysler 300C Touring or maybe a BMW 530d Touring. Does anyone have any experience of car leasing companies? Is it worth it, or would you just buy one?

Leasing makes financial sense, but only if its to do with your work and for tax efficiency reasons. Basically though, you're still 'buying' a new car so you're taking a massive hit on depreciation, you're just paying for it in a different way. The fact that you don't own the car is neither here nor there.
The Chrysler 300C is based on the same chassis as the Merc E class (which I have one of….) and I can assure you, they are very easy to park due to the tight turning circle achievable because its rear wheel drive. (Bear in mind Mk1_Arron hasn't driven one….) The only thing I have issues with, is that I'd need the estate version and its not that pretty. But thats a superficial argument, if you like the looks then all ok.

Hi, i looked into doing the very same, took out the 300c Touring, had an A4 avante at teh time, looked at teh A6 and BMW, but i couldnt find fault with the 300c, wasnt as quick as the others, but i love the looks and there's not as many around, plus you get more car for your money…
I was looking into leasing and if your car allowance etc through work works out well, its a good way to go.
Unfortunatly tho, they had massive senior changes at work and teh whoel company took a complete nose dive, so i jumped and because of that I'm really glad i didnt have 3 years of leasing that i was tied into..
I just handed back the keys to the A4 avante (which is a great car) and walked away
so, I'd say if your looking at it for work, make sure its gonna be a suitable car for you should your job change…

Stick with the German. Feels every bit as expensive as it is.
Chrysler….poor man's Bentley?
