Buyers guide?

Just wondering if anywhere on this marvellous site there is a buyers guide for the Cabrio?

I have a particular one in mind to buy, but am going to try and look at a few more before making the final decision. Bit difficult though as a lot for sale all seem to be down south, and I'm up near Manchester.

So a few hints and pointers as to what to look for would be appreciated. I've had an old Scirocco and mk3 gti before so I'm familiar with VW stuff, but if there are any gems of knowledge, I'm sure it would help.

I'm looking to get a reasonable car, kind of a good everyday driver, one that we can use right away but I can slowly fettle up to excellent condition. Not really looking to strip something down to the floor for a complete rebuild. Been there before and just dont have the time now to do anything but selective bits at a time.

Just trying to sift through all the cars for sale, probably being too picky as well!
