Best UK Built MK1 Ever??

What does everyone consider to be the best MK1 ever Built in this country, lets say over the last 15 years....standard or modified???? Pics would be nice!!

There was ( a few years ago) a blue dutch G60 with corrado front and extentended wings, Jerone Dik I think the guys name was ????
And in recent years the grey mk1 VR6 on throttle bodies at e38 this year was awesome, again I think he was a dutch lad too. 8)  8)

oh sorry just read you wanted UK built ones :roll:    So may be danny ellans orange on then, but the above grey MK1 IMO is better than any english built show car I've seen.
May be you should ask which country has built/restored the best MK1 ??? It just seems to me that the Dutch and also the Austrians have the touch when it comes to customised MK1s

I do like dubboys car, but I think carbs4ever's car is going to be an absolute storming, when he finishes it, the detailing is incredible.

I  like the shots under the arches, you could eat your dinner off it, But I'm sure Carbs4ever won't want to get it dirty

Having seen Carbs4Ever's car a few times in the flesh  - I can confrim that it is gonna be one heck of a MK1, definately up there with the best of them!

Attention to detail is amazing 8O

dub it wasnt built in the uk and was built over the water ! even those dub boy as reworked it some what its not a english car

Yeah would have to agree with Danny Allans, I think the benchmark was first set with Simon Faires Candy Blue G60 in the mid nineties and then Danny Allans about 5 or 6 years later. THere was one at the shows this year, a grey 16v guy who owns it called Clint, understated in comparison but a superb build, the engine looked factory.

I think next year another benchmark will be set??

danny alens is an awesome example, susan and noddys standard example is so pure, think there are a few mk1's gonna be making an appearance this year that will rewrite some history books tho 8)

mate you dont know far close to the truth you are my friend as i know where these four getting done right now three in london and one in the midlands and if they come out this year at the same time it will be a top year again  :wink:

I liked Peachy - the Awesome GTI stores demo car.  It featured clipper kit, full length front windows…

…oh - and a 2.9 VR6 engine.

It was later re-incarneted in dark metalic green with full Corrado leather and 16" BBS RS001 alloys - very tasty motor.  Not to eveyones liking but it'd have done me!!
