 I thought it looked nice before,but looks really cool now.Those bbs look loads  better and the lights and grill make it look modern.
I've got crystal clears and the same back lights and it really transforms the looks.
That is one nice cabby!!  :wink:

BBS wheels look nice but for me, the other stuff doesn't improve it any over the original! In fact I think I prefer the original standard look! That is only my opinion of course, sometimes you can change things for changes sake and then try to justify to yourself that you have done the right thing and spent your money wisely! The car still looks nice and is obviously in good condition, so as long as you like it, that is all that counts! Nice car!  

I get what your saying walt but a change is as good as a rest!!

At least it's only cosmetic and can be put back to standard when it suits.(for people like yourself….who never take a walk on the wild side!!!)
     

Nice car but in my opinion the original grill looks much better that new grill looks cheap.

If you keep the parts you can change it back.

oh yeah, ive kept all the original parts in my garage, so when i get bored ill put it back to standard, thats if i feel like it :wink:

im looking for an old skool single headlamp grille with chrome edgeing and a black vw badge in the middle.

I like the rear lights, never been a big fan of the stock rear lights on the cabriolet… but not so keen on the front treatment. BBS RA wheels though… :y: Best rim ever in my book! Works wonders on any mk1.

I've just had another look having read all the comments on this one! I think the rear lights are maybe a sideways step at best, rather than an improvement and I can see why some of you like them! But I just can't like the grill for some reason! I think the later grill of the cabriolets can look a little too plastic, even in twin headlight form, but without the badge and only one set of clear lights, I don't know it just doesn't look right to me! Someone else said it cheapens the look of the car and I agree!…Sorry old fruit, not saying anyone is right or rong on this, it's just a matter of opinion!   Hope I didn't offend!

Or a sign making company, I'm sure they could make them out of translucent blue vinyl, maybe even screen print it?  :dontknow:

in a way im liking it, and it shows bottle to go against the grain.

my personal taste would be different.
th ecrystal headlights are pukka but with the orig grille.
smoked indicators poss smoked rears.. sorry but imho the clears do nothing for the car at all..

but hey its your car, your taste, your money so you should do whatever makes you happy with it and to hell with what everyone thinks.
