At what price?

Hello,

Just wondered what sort of price you would expect to pay for a really nice condition K Reg, Red Mk1 Cabrio Sportline? Brand New Roof, nice standard interior, new tyres, 6 mnths Tax + 12 Mnths MOT etc etc.

I currently have mine for sale at ?3,499 but have not had much interest.  What would would a decent price be to ask for this?

Your help with this would be much appreciated, plus any sites or mags etc you think it would be worth advertising in.

Many thanks :banghead:

hello mate it is a good price.  When selling a car you have to describe it perfectly.Mention all the plusses roof interior wheels service history give a detailed description careful pampered ownership. Then take some really nice pictures .Close ups of wheels showing of the un scuffed clean look.Close ups of the unmarked interior and engine bay then get a decent set of front rear and side shots. This should prove irresistable. Hope this helps  :)

Problem with pricing the later and more expensive MK1 Cabbies is that they end up competing with the 1st of the MK3s Golfs,MR2s, MX5s,MGFs,Astra and Escort convertibles etc These are often younger with lower miles and have power steering, airbags etc that the MK1 doesn?t have. The MK1 will only appeal to VW nuts not someone just after a convertible so as a result prices are kept down compared to the relatively expensive levels when the cars were new.

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.
