It's wearing ATS Classic deep dish alloy wheels and has Pirelli Spec bumpers.  Looks like it's otherwise standard apart from a single lamp de-badged grill, single winper converion, severe suspension drop, glass sunroof, panted wing mirrors, smoked indicators and what looks like a Cl grill spoiler.  Very easy look to re-create, just get the choice of wheels right and away you go.

You forgot the essential 'Touring car sunstrip' Steve!
I love ATS Classics, but i've never seen em for cheap on ebay.
I've never heard of Pirelli spec bumpers, what are they?

You can buy ATS Classics brand new.

Pirelli Spec bumpers basically have the top and the bottom body coloured with the middle bit left black.

oh right, yeah i can see that. was that a special edition mk1 thing, or an aftermarket thing?

I'm not really ready to part with the cash for a brand new set of rims i'm afraid, as nice as ATS Classics are, i've heard the offsets are bit funny and cause all kinds of problems.

Call me picky, but isn't the windscreen a top tint veriosn rather than a touring carstrip. Looks the same as mine, and its built into the glass.

Steve is right on Pirrelli spec bumpers, but forgot to mention they were fitted to the European MK1 golf GTI's I believe and not available in the UK. Might be why you haven't heard of them before.  :)

Turbo Technics MK1 Golf GTI's - where are you ?

Oh right, i didn't realise that GTi's came with such a nice aggressive top tint. Looked like halfords stick on job to me. But the car in the background looks like it has an identical strip too so i'm sure your right.
I like the bumpers.
I've scoured tinternet, but no joy on any more snaps of it. It dosent look like a german plate to me, certainly not a modern one anyway.
Any idea's as to the country of registration ? :)

Its a German plate issued from 1981 to 2000 of the type before we came obsessed with the European flag you now see on all number plates [well nearly all] .

Place of registration of that car is Hannover ,indicated by the H the HW will be a district of Hannover .

If you want to be a right Anorack check this web site   Olav's German number plates. Visitors' submissions. License plates of Germany

I might put a parka with rabbit fur around the hood on my Christmas list and go number plate spotting next year  8O

Lovely car all the same  Cheers……

God i am sad

Started to look at that number plate site and there is even a history of British Plates to look at >  Olav's British number plates - License plates of the United Kingdom

But you must be wearing a furry hooded parka first  :nerd:
