Anyone got a picture of the radio that was fitted ...

What is the correct radio that was fitted at the VW factory to the MK1. Anyone got a piccy?

they didnt come from the factory with a radio, was a dealer option and it varied from dealer to dealer

each dealer would be different though, would depend on which company they where in with for audio

Blaupunkt and Panasonic seem to have been popular dealer fit stereos and I've also seen Philips. I think Panasonic were most popular.
If you're looking for a period stereo, there isn't a 'correct' one. I got a factory fit Blaupunkt from an '83 Merc for mine.

Radios were not fitted as an option, they were an accessory.

I bought a Blaukpunt Oxford radio/cassette set last year at Gaydon. It seems in pretty good fettle but don't know if it works yet cos I haven't fitted it. Cost me a ?5.

Need some speaker plugs, you know those with a spade and pin configuration. Until I find some I can't do it.  

May pay someone to do it though as these car stereo guys will have them surely. Plus not sure if all the four speakers are working in the car. I know the OS rear is split but have some spares.

Have tried Halfords and a couple of others. But hey unless I want fury dice and endless polishes I think I may be in the wrong
place.
