Another year!!!!!!

We can't believe it - the yellow (in places) Golf has passed its MOT first time for the second year running. If you've never seen this vision of lovliness - it looks like something that was pulled from a field, with various primer patches, rust patches and flat yellow brush paint. Its minging but we love it!

Possibly the best ?175 investment I ever made was buying that car!

GTi is in for its ticket tomorrow - wish me luck!

Think i was talking to you at gaydon. A multi coloured number (your car that is) which is obviously in very good condition other than the bodywork needin a lick of paint..
But if it runs why change it

One day we'll have the yellow one repainted - we've now got all the panels to bolt on to make her rust free, its just then a question of having her repainted in the original Texas Yellow… sadly that costs more than we've got

good news/good luck on the mots , Rat styles in at the moment so its actually quite cool . I like cars when they get to this stage they always seem to have more character .

Yep she's got that in spades. MOT man loved her, but begged us to paint her before she completely died. I have to agree with him… paint is only really there to stop nature from reverting the steel back to its natural state, after all. :?

Nice to see one like that! My uncle had one very similar back in the early Eighties. I still thought it was cool then :mrgreen:
