76,77,78,79 GTI colours were?

1976,77,78,79 GTI colours?

Anyone know what colours the GTI was avilable in, in these years?

I have found in 1979 it was Black, Red & Metallic Silver only

Was it the same for the earlier cars i cannot remember?  :dontknow:

Im sure it was also different for different countrys.

1978 MY: Mars Red, Diamond Silver, Black, Alpine White (Germany only)
1979 MY: Mars Red, Diamond Silver, Black, Alpine White (Continent only), Inari Silver (Continent only)

There was a tidy looking series 1 Gti on i-net recently in white. Was RHD - would this have been an import?
