WEBER wont bolt up!!!

im currently running a 32/36 weber on a passat manifold on my 1.6 golf, however i managed to pick up a 32/34 weber designed specifically for a mk1 golf, ie it's supposed to go straight on. the current weber needs work so using the new one would solve my problems.

the problem is, that it wont bolt to the passat manifold as the stud pattern is different, has anyone else come across this?

being a twin barrel carb i cant use the original manifold either

the base gasket is from the existing weber, see how two holes dont line up?

how do i overcome this problem

is there some sort of adaptor plate i can buy…..where from?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Change the manifold for the correct item ?

Make an adaptor plate ?
