supersprint 16v manifold
hi ive a mk1 with a 1.8 kr 16v engine,i bought a supersprint manifold to suit.but its awfull close to the steering knuckle gaitor,i can just about get the tip of my finger behind it.i know ill have to buy exhaust heat tape to wrap around the gaitor.but what about when you give the car a bit of stick/floor it will the four branch not it of the knuckle.it's my 1st 16v swap so i'm open to any advice or even better a few pics of other peeps supersprint manfolds in place.a lad i know said to use a diesel gearbox mount, less play in it he reckons :dontknow: .thanks dan

When you bought the manifold, did you buy it from a UK supplier or make it clear its for a RHD car? There's a lot of imported stuff floating around which is designed for LHD.

just wrap the four branch Dan it won't knock - and yes use a diesel rear gearbox mount and poly front crossmember mount.
the heat is incredible from an unwrapped four branch so make sure you wrap all four primarys not just the one closest to the wrack.
