If memory serves I think the general opinion on stainless was that it was very hard to get one with a decent pattern that fitted without a lot of hacking qround. i think there is also an issue with the amount of movement generated by the engine stressing the stainless systems.
Last time this was discussed, the general concensus seemed to be one of the OE quality GSF / ECP systems were the best way to go and not that expensive. Ernst or Bosal I think were the OE manufacturers.
I'm sure if you want to stick with stainless someone will have a recommendation though…..

Its the way forward, dont get a 4 branch as it will crack. magnex do a system with a down (pipe i think) if not buy a new standard downpipe.
its not too lowd, just right perfect fit!

I've also heard of not so good things about magnex systems from mates whom have had them fitted to their Mk2's.
All down to personal choice at the end of the day.
