Mk1 GTI cabrio starting problems

Help! Fuel pump coming on, fuel coming out of connections where fuel pipes fit into square fuel distributor on top of air filter thingy but no fuel getting to injectors. Fuel to cold start screw when I open this. Car trying to start but will not idle on. Will start when squirt magic stuff when remove hose from where it goes into top of engine block but will not rev or idle when depress accelerator. Never had this trouble before but car been standing for about 12 weeks. Any suggestions for me??javascript:emoticon(':dontknow:')
