misfiring problem! cars not starting :(

My 16v keeps misfiring, will not start,  the pump died so I replaced it with a known good one, car drove much quicker and fine, then saw I damaged the pump-accumulator hose as it was rusty so replaced that soon after, then went to start it and the immobiliser  light wasn?t on so couldn?t start the car! checked all fuses and all was ok so got annoyed as I hated putting the immob key in 1st everytime I turn the car on so I stripped it out! It was quite simple, now the car turns fires then cuts, (misfires) second attempt just turns. When the pump primes I can hear the metering head flap going up and down continuously, (never did this b4).  Changed the cold start valve purely coz I had a spare, when the pump primes fuel is present from the main feed fuel line just after the filter but not pressurised at all.

I didn?t think it was anything to do with the immob as pump primes and engine turns so really car shud fire?was thinking dizzy?? Maybe coz I am feeling dizzy I dunno!
Any ideas b4 I call out an auto electrician? Got a feeling this is gonna cost me a bomb!

Do a pump flow test - easy and quick to do.

Check that the fuel pump runs when required as the coil has a feed to the pump relay so that in a crash the fuel pump cuts off - i.e. no ignition no fuel pump

there deff is fuel and spark!

put another fuel distributor on and it does the same thing…

im thinking when the immob went it must have sent a power surge to the ecu and blown it?

wot u reckon??
