mine's tiny!
as part of my ongoing fuel line refurb i've discovered that on purchase of a 2nd hand pump and accumulator that my current accumulator is the same shape as the replacement but approximately 1/3-1/4 smaller. the bracket looks like it fits the replacement and looks too big for the accumulator on it now.
i am confused. if it's the wrong one how come it appears to work? which one is correct? would having a 'small one' account for minor running problems i've had in the past? if it is the wrong one where's/what's it come from.
mind you since we bought this car about 4 or 5 years ago we have replaced some 'aftermarket' spares, such as an assortment household plumbing o washers for real injector seals- so nothing would surprise me!
also any tips on fitting/testing/cleaning second hand fuel pumps/accumulators would be appreciated.
cheers
