Manifold...to wrap or not?

I recently purchased a 4 into 1 Ashley branch manifold from Barker44(highly recommend him, excellent guy to deal with  8)  )and i am know wondering if i should heat wrap it or not.
Ashley dont recommend it cause it may overheat the steel, but just wondering what you guys think if its a benefit or not?

Any advice on what type or place to get the wrap?

I used  VW Audi Seat Skoda Specialists | Parts Service Modifications for mine.  Have a chat with them, helpful folks.

I would wrap it if you are not using the original downpipe shields, especially if it runs close to the firewall, rubber components, etc. Try Demon Tweekes or Frosts.

you could also try powerkote, don't know if its available over here though.

I had my 8v branch powerkoted for sidedrafts on a u-flow head and never suffered from heat soak. You can even have the branch finished in crome.

Hope i can find somebody to do that, also looks a lot easier than trying to wrap it.

well this was done in South Africa and it cost me just over the equivalent of ?100 for the coting of the inside and outside of the branch. this product works really well though as there was a turboed 16v there at the time that had his manifolds done and a few mins after switching his car off from a drive i touched them and my hand didn't burn.

see the site below for more details on the process
